To celebrate our collaboration with Blijdorp, we produced a a sustainable Nalgene water bottle with a unique design by Peter Verloop from the ‘almost Modern’ agency.
The choice to create a water bottle was motivated by the sustainable factor of bringing your own tap water, as well as the sustainable production of the water bottle itself. Not to mention, it is important to drink enough water every day and having this water bottle with you serves as an eye-pleasing reminder. Finally, the bottle is well-fitting with the summer atmosphere and with the likelihood of warm temperatures, visitors will be able to refill their bottle for free on the festival site.
The theme of the bottle is ‘Summer Solstice’, the period we celebrate the longest day of the year. The solstice (Latin: solstitium) is the time when the sun, as seen from the Earth, reaches its northernmost or southernmost position. Summer Solstice is also commonly known as midsummer and in many cultures, the longest day revolves around the sun, nature and flowers. These are themes that match perfectly with Blijdorp.
